Gas Dispersion Chimneys

Reinforced concrete chimneys are used to disperse productive process gases in the glass, cellulose, and paper industries and in thermal power plants and steel mills, among others, with the purpose of removing the gases generated by the process from the surrounding environment, dissipating them into the atmosphere. The chimneys may have single flow, by means of the structure itself or an internal metal duct, or multiflue, with more than one internal metal duct to transport the gases. These chimneys may have a constant section or closed sections (trunk-conical), in which the lower diameter is greater than the upper diameter.
